Translate
Your CV translated into the other language, without anything made up: in your original layout, or in a new template as PDF and Word.
“Translate” is already ticked: choose the target language, then “Same layout” or “New template”.
Translation is one of the CV improvement goals, “Translate”: from French into English or from English into French. You choose the target language; if your CV is already in that language, it is translated into the other one. You can add a few lines on what matters: a job title to keep as it is, British rather than American English, an acronym to explain.
Two outputs. “New template”: the AI translates the whole document in one go, without asking questions; the code replaces any unsourced figure with “[X]”, removes contact details that are not there, and you download it as PDF or Word. “Same layout” (PDF CV): the translation is done block by block (a long CV is split into parts of 70 blocks, translated in parallel) and written in place of the original text, in your font; whatever does not fit is shortened, or the CV is rebuilt in the same look.
A translation is not a rewrite: every section, job and line is translated in the same order, with nothing added, cut or embellished. If you also tick another goal (ATS robots, value), you get your improved CV, written straight into the chosen language. For CV conventions in an English-speaking country, see the CV in English; for what changes from one country to another, the CV for working abroad.
Your CV in French
The same CV, translated into English
The model reads and writes; the code calculates and checks. No figure shown ever comes from a language model.
Your CV is read for the translation and then forgotten: nothing is kept on the server, except the CV you choose to keep in your account, encrypted. Full details in the privacy policy.
“CV in English” explains how to write a CV for an English-speaking recruiter and starts the translation into English. This feature covers both directions, the choice of output and the notes you give the AI.
Yes, with “Same layout”, on a PDF: each translated text is written in its place, in your font, slightly tightened if the English runs longer. A block that does not fit is shortened, or the CV is rebuilt in the same look.
In “New template”, a qualification keeps its title in its own language, followed by its equivalent in brackets when that helps a recruiter, and the school's name does not change. In “Same layout”, space is tight: if you want to keep a title as it is, say so in your notes.
The only target languages are French and English. A CV written in another language is translated into whichever of the two you choose; proofread it all the more carefully.
Free, no sign-up to get started; your CV is not kept without your consent.
