What screening software checks, and what makes it lose track of your CV.
Two columns, skill gauges, no job title: screening software loses the thread. Rewritten in one column, with the right keywords and concrete results, the same background gets through the filter.

An ATS (applicant tracking system) receives the CVs sent through a careers site or a job board, extracts their text, files it into fields (job, company, dates, skills) and lets the recruiter filter and rank applications, often by keyword.
The software only sees the text it manages to extract. A CV scanned or exported as an image, a layout in columns or tables, information carried by icons or gauges, a missing job title or keywords that differ from the job ad's: all reasons to be misread, misranked or rejected before a human ever sees it.
The AI checks each criterion on your CV (OK, to improve, problem) and the site itself checks the file format, whether there is readable text, and whether your contact details appear in that text. The score out of 100 is a weighted average calculated by the code; a blocking problem (CV as an image, hidden text) caps it.
No. Hidden text and instructions aimed at an AI are spotted by recruiters and by recent tools, and get the CV rejected. Our check flags them. The right approach: honestly reuse the job ad's keywords wherever your experience justifies them.
It depends on how it's exported: many design templates use columns, text boxes and icons that scramble the reading order. Upload it: the check shows you exactly what the robot extracts (the “robot view”), and the AI can rewrite it in a single readable column.
No: it's read for the check, then forgotten. Nothing is kept on our servers. The file stays on your device so you can improve it, and you can erase it in one click.
