These terms govern the use of the Negotiate Your Salary website (Négocier son salaire in French, https://negociersonsalaire.fr), published by Mathieu Altavilla. The site estimates the market value of a CV, shows what needs fixing for it to get through applicant tracking systems (ATS), offers fixes and a CV rewritten by artificial intelligence, and publishes salary statistics. By using the site, you accept these terms. The site is free, with paid credits for AI actions beyond the free credits (see the terms of sale); an account is optional.
The statistics on the salary pages are calculated from the salaries offered in job offers from France Travail (the French public employment service), according to the public methodology. They describe offers, not salaries actually paid, and may differ from your situation: collective agreement, company size, benefits, negotiation.
The CV analysis gives an estimate calculated from the average salaries published by INSEE (France's national statistics office) for the occupation recognised in your CV, adjusted for your experience, your city and the company size according to the methodology. It is a market average, possibly adjusted according to our AI's view (factors judged by the AI, converted and capped by the site, which you can remove), not a salary promise or an assessment of you as a person. The AI's reading of the CV can be wrong (occupation, dates): check and correct the details shown in the result.
The score for compatibility with recruiters' screening software (ATS) is an indicator calculated by the site according to public criteria. Each recruitment software package applies its own rules and each recruiter makes their own choices: no score or fix guarantees that an application will be selected, nor does it guarantee an interview, a job or a salary level.
All figures are provided “as is”, with no guarantee of accuracy or completeness, and may change with each data update.
The analysis texts, the fixes, the questions asked before the rewrite and the improved CV are generated by an artificial intelligence model (Claude, by Anthropic). They may contain errors or wording that needs adjusting. The site does not make up any figures: a quantified result that is not in your CV is marked “[X]”, to be replaced with your real value or deleted.
You must reread, complete and approve your improved CV before using it. You alone are responsible for its content and its use, in particular towards an employer: leave in it only accurate information that you can back up. You may freely use the improved CV and the fixes for your applications.
Nothing on the site, including the analysis texts, the CV analysis, the improved CV, the career-change projections, the “And you?” tool and the salary expectations answer generator, constitutes legal, financial, tax or career guidance advice. The publisher cannot be held liable for any decision taken on the basis of the information on the site.
Each account receives free credits; beyond them, credit packs are sold as a one-off payment, with no subscription, under the terms of sale. A CV analysis, an improved CV, an edit or a salary search by AI uses credits; their price is shown before any payment. What you have obtained (analyses, downloaded CVs) remains yours. Terms of sale.
By reporting your salary, you undertake to:
Contributions are anonymous and become aggregated data: they are only displayed from 10 contributions per cell onwards and cannot be withdrawn individually once aggregated. A contribution deemed implausible may be put on hold or rejected without justification. In return for a contribution, a cookie unlocks the details of the pages for 365 days; this unlocking may be withdrawn in the event of abuse.
You may browse the pages freely and quote the statistics with a link to the original page and a mention of the source. The following are prohibited: mass or automated extraction of the pages and interfaces, resale of the data or results, use of the forms and APIs for purposes other than those intended, and any attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the site.
You keep all rights to your CV: you only authorise us to process it to provide the service you request. The site, its structure, its texts, its charts, its CV templates and its code are protected by copyright and belong to the publisher. The original job offers remain the property of France Travail and of their authors; they are reused under the terms of the France Travail licence, and no job offer is reproduced on the site. INSEE data is reused under the Open Licence (Licence Ouverte).
The publisher does its best to keep the site accessible but does not guarantee any availability. Features, limits, thresholds and the method may change; so may these terms, the version published online being authoritative. Account holders are notified of significant changes.
See the privacy policy, which details what happens to your CV.
