Fix
Uneven gaps, misaligned bullets, a page that is too tight or too airy: the site measures the spaces in your CV and realigns them, with no AI, or on request.
After the analysis, your CV's spacing opens in “Same layout”: one click fixes it, with no AI.
A CV touched up in Canva, Word or another tool often keeps traces: a wider gap between two jobs, a misaligned bullet, a section stuck to the one above. The site measures those spaces in your PDF, with no AI. For each kind of gap (heading to text, bullet to bullet, paragraph to paragraph…), it takes the document's usual gap, the median of the gaps of that kind, and realigns those that stray from it. The space saved goes back to the section starts, in equal shares, so the column ends where it used to. Drawn bullets and pictograms move with their text, and a bullet sitting higher or lower than the others is put back level with its first line; a section never drops below its limit (page bottom, banner, next element).
Once your CV is open in “Same layout”, the “Spacing” box offers “Fix the spacing” (even gaps), “More spacious” and “Tighter”: those last two add or remove 0.35 of a line at every gap. In a written request, “more space before Education” moves the block in question by 0.8 of a line: the AI only chooses more, less or even, and where; the distances come from the site's scale. From the analysis onwards, the site flags the visible issues in your original CV and offers to fix them.
The model reads and writes; the code calculates and checks. No figure shown ever comes from a language model.
The AI-free realignment happens entirely in your browser; a request to the AI sends the PDF to handle it, after which it is forgotten. Full details in the privacy policy.
It only moves text and the bullets attached to it, vertically, within its column, never past the section's limit. Photo, banners, shapes and columns stay where they are, and “As before” undoes everything.
The site compares each gap with the other gaps of the same kind: it needs at least two to set the rule, and only realigns what clearly strays from it. A one-off or deliberate gap stays put. In that case, ask the AI for it at that spot: “more space above Education”.
No: the blocks only move vertically, and their text and order stay the same. What a robot reads in your CV is shown by the ATS check in the analysis.
“Tighter” closes every gap by a notch, without touching the text. If that is not enough, ask the AI to shorten a section, or let the site rebuild the CV in the same look. The “A one-page CV” guide gives the method for choosing what to cut. Read the “A one-page CV” guide
